Root Canal Treatment in Whitefield

A throbbing, infected tooth does not have to be removed. Root canal treatment saves the tooth and relieves the pain — gently, with modern anaesthesia.

About the treatment

What it is, and who needs it

What root canal treatment involves

When decay or a crack reaches the soft tissue inside a tooth (the pulp), infection and pain follow. In root canal treatment we remove the inflamed or infected pulp, clean and disinfect the canals, and seal the tooth. The treated tooth is then usually restored with a crown so it functions normally for years.

Who it is for

This treatment is for teeth with deep decay, repeated dental problems, cracks or trauma — often signalled by sensitivity to hot and cold, pain on biting, swelling or a persistent toothache. Sometimes a tooth needs a root canal without any pain at all, which is why regular check-ups matter. If you have been told a tooth must be extracted, ask us whether saving it is possible.
